Interim Investigation Report on the Collision between Japan Airlines Flight 516 and a Japan Coast Guard Aircraft

On January 2, 2024, JAL Flight 516, departing from New Chitose Airport and arriving at Haneda Airport, collided with a Japan Coast Guard aircraft after landing at Haneda Airport.
We would like to once again express our sincere prayers for those who lost their lives on the Japan Coast Guard airplane. We extend our deepest condolences to their families and associates. In addition, we deeply regret the great distress and inconvenience caused to all passengers, their families, and related parties who were on board our flight.

Today, the Japan Transport Safety Board (JTSB) has released an Interim Investigation report on the aviation accident. We will continue to fully cooperate with the Board in their investigation towards the final report.
