Fully Revamped Aircraft Offers New Seating in All Four Cabins
SAN FRANCISCO, CA: December 1, 2014 – Today, Japan Airlines (JAL) is debuting its award-winning JAL SKY SUITE 777, a fully revamped 777-300ER aircraft with all new seats and augmented inflight services, on the San Francisco-Tokyo (Haneda) route.
The airline first introduced the new JAL SKY SUITE 777 to its international fleet in January of 2013 between London and Tokyo (Narita), and has since expanded service with the revamped aircraft to include other long-haul routes. New York-Tokyo, Chicago-Tokyo and Los Angeles-Tokyo also now feature the enhanced configuration.
“We are delighted to be able to offer San Francisco customers an even higher level of service,” said Hitoshi Yamamuro, Japan Airlines Regional Vice President in San Francisco. “With the new four-class configuration, customers can now choose from among First Class and Premium Economy as well as Business Class and Economy.”
JAL is also introducing adjusted flight schedules that offer more same-day connections from San Francisco to destinations in Asia, including Hong Kong, Taipei and Shanghai in addition to cities throughout Japan via Tokyo-Haneda.
With the new schedule, flight JL001 departs from San Francisco at 00:35am and arrives at Tokyo-Haneda at 5:00am the following day. From Haneda, JL002 departs at 00:05am and arrives at San Francisco at 4:25pm the previous day.
