JAL Group Applies for Revision of IATA International Fares to & from Japan
El Segundo, CA - December 21, 2005: Today, the JAL Group filed an application with the Japanese Ministry of Land Infrastructure, and Transport (MLIT) requesting a revision of IATA international airfares to and from Japan, based on agreements adopted at IATA Tariff Coordinating Conferences held during the year.

In the American Region, normal weekday fares from North America (except Hawaii) and the Caribbean to Japan, will increase by 1 percent in first and economy class, and by 4 percent in business class. In addition, normal weekend fares will increase by 3 percent in first and economy class and by 6 percent in business class. Restricted normal economy class fares remain unchanged. Normal first, business, economy and special economy class fares from Central and South America to Japan will increase by 10 percent.

The revision will take effect from April 1, 2006 pending government approval in Japan and other relevant countries.
