Documentation

Preparing Standard Operating Procedures(SOP) for the whole transportation process depending on the specific requirements.
Temperature check at airport

Following the SOP, JAL staff will do temperature check and damage check after the shipment is in warehouse.

Transport Flow

Surface transportation before departure

Constant temperature will be maintained during surface transportation.
In order to minimize the exposure to the tarmac, loading onto the aircraft will be done within 90 minutes after the shipment left the warehouse.
In-flight

The temperature of cargo compartment will be controlled where available, considering flight duration and requested temperature.

Arrival and Transportation

Constant temperature will be maintained during surface transportation.
Shipment will be delivered to the warehouse within 90 minutes after unloading from the aircraft.
Temperature check in warehouse and delivery

After the temperature check and damage check by JAL staff following the SOP, we will deliver the shipment.

Acceptance

120 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure time.

Delivery

Ready for AWB/other documents pick up, and customs declaration within 120 minutes after flight arrival.

*The cargo delivery time may differ at some airports depending on business hours of Customs Offices.
*The cut-off time for the cargo acceptance and the delivery time may depend each airport's service standard.

FAQ

What would be the temperature, humidity conditions during flight?

Generally, temperatures vary depending on the types of aircraft or the loading position, but it is possible to maintain the temperature around 20℃ (or 68F) with conditioned air.
Humidity can not be controlled during flight.
Air pressure will be decreased to around 0.8 atm during flight.
