The world's first Dual Mode Vehicle (DMV) that can use both roads and railway tracks will operate along the coastline between Kaiyo in Tokushima Prefecture and Toyo in Kochi Prefecture. Running alongside the Pacific Ocean, the mode of travel changes from road to rail and from rail to road.
