Northern Region: Rugged Cliffs and Stunning Peninsulas

Starting from Kabushima in Hachinohe City, the Michinoku Coastal Trail’s northern section begins with soaring sea cliffs and serene grasslands along the Tanesashi Coast. Yet, as hikers descend into the landscape, undulating valleys create significant elevation changes. Then, craggy peninsulas and bays punctuate the route bound for Miyagi Prefecture’s Ishinomaki.
