Flights operated by JAL will arrive at Terminal 2E.

Terminal 2E

You can transfer to Main Terminal via shuttles from the gates. On Level 2 of Main Terminal, there are toilets and stairs/escalators to Level 1. At Level 1 immigration screening area, there are immigration screening, AF transit counters, stairs/elevators to Level 1, toilets and elevators. At Level 0 baggage claim area, there are customs and once you pass through customs, there are toilets, airport information counters, currency exchange offices, transit information display and connecting aisle to Terminal 2. You can find buses and taxis outside.

There is no quarantine check.

Immigration

Documents required for entry
Required documents Description
VISA Japanese passport holders are permitted to enter the country without a visa provided that the duration of stay is no longer than 3 months.
Passport France and other Schengen Zone countries require visitors to hold a passport that has at least 3 months' validity from the date of departure.
A return flight ticket or e-ticket Please bring it.
Other information

There are separate windows for EU passport holders and non-EU passport holders.

Customs

Duty-free applies to tobacco and alcohol purchases by passengers aged 17 and above.
If your goods are not in excess of the duty-free limit, please proceed to the green customs lane. Otherwise, please proceed through the red customs lane and make a verbal declaration of the goods you are bringing in.
Currency totaling EUR 10,000 or more must be declared.

Pets

Prior reservation is necessary if you wish to bring your pet, as the transportation environment within the aircraft needs to be prepared.

Please also be sure to check with the embassy or quarantine station at your destination for animal quarantine information such as import restrictions and required documentation.

*An export quarantine certificate cannot be substituted for a health certificate, even though the official embassy website explains that it can be substituted as health certificate.

Flights operated by JAL will depart from Terminal 2E.

Terminal 2E.

On Level 2, there are check-in counters, toilets, currency exchange offices, elevators, Tax Free counter DETAX, immigration control. Once you pass through security, there are toilets and elevators tranferring to Level 1 AIR FRANCE Lounge. Once you pass through immigration control, you can transfer to Satellite 3 and 4 via shuttles. There is security in each Satelite. On Satellite 3 Level 1 and Satellite 4, there are AIR FRANCE Lounges.

Departure regulations

Check-in

Check-in opens 3 hours prior to departure at Counter 3 (subject to change, please check at the airport), Terminal 2E.

  • * The latest check-in time for JAL Group flights at Charles de Gaulle International Airport is 60 minutes prior to departure for all passengers, including First Class and Business Class passengers.
  • * Please note that the maximum weight per item of checked baggage on JAL Group flights leaving from Charles de Gaulle International Airport must not be in excess of 32kg (70lbs).

Customs

  • *You may be asked to present the goods for inspection during the duty-free check. There can sometimes be a long wait, so please ensure that you allow plenty of time.
  • *If you are returning to Japan via transfer from another EU country, you will need to carry out customs procedures at the airport from which your Japan-bound flight departs. It is still possible that you may be asked to present the items for inspection, so please ensure that you do not put them in your checked baggage on the connecting flight.
