Terminal map

You can transfer between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 by QF transfer bus.Terminal 2 is located on the opposite side of Terminal 3.

International Transit

  • a) When departing Sydney, you may collect the boarding pass for your onward destination by proceeding from the transit area to the departures floor. You can check your baggage through to your final destination at your point of departure.
  • b) If you are flying with Virgin Australia or Jetstar, please collect your baggage and proceed to the departures floor to check in.
  • c) Passengers traveling on other airlines should proceed to the transfers counter or the departure gate.

Domestic Transit within Australia

  • a) If your connecting flight number is Qantas Airways (QF) 000-399 (excluding QF200-299):
    • Please carry out the check-in procedure for your next flight at the transfers check-in counter in the international terminal.
    • You can check your baggage through to your final destination at your point of departure. (Excluding QF200-299)
    • * Passengers traveling on QF200-299 (Jetstar-operated international flights) who are either in Economy Class or who are subjected to an excess baggage charge will be required to complete immigration procedures. Please collect your checked baggage in Sydney.
  • b) If your connecting flight is other than above flight numbers
    • Immigration checks will be carried out in Sydney.
      Please collect your checked baggage in Sydney.

      Please take a complimentary shuttle bus (T-Bus) service to proceed to the next terminal with your luggage.
      Operating hours of T-Bus (7:30-19:00) If your connecting flight number is Qantas Airways (QF) 400-2299: Please proceed to terminal 3.
      If your connecting flight is not with Qantas Airways (QF) or is not operated by Qantas Airways (excluding QantasLink): Please proceed to terminal 2.

Minimum Connecting Time (Approximate)

JAL → other international airlines 60 minutes
JAL → domestic airlines 90 minutes (QF connecting time) *
Domestic airlines → JAL 75 minutes
