On the 3rd floor, there are Quarantine, stairs/elevators to and from the 2nd floor. At the 2nd floor immigration screening area, there are immigration screening, elevators and stairs/elevators from the 3rd and to the 1st floor. At the 1st floor baggage claim area, there are baggage claim, toilets, currency exchange offices, airport information counters, customs, stairs/elevators from the 2nd floor, stairs/elevators and the exit to outside.

Quarantine

There is no quarantine inspection unless you are arriving via a contaminated area.

Immigration

Japanese citizens do not require a visa if their stay is within 90 days counting from the day after arrival. Please complete the arrivals card and customs declaration form handed out on the aircraft, and present them along with your passport and return ticket or onward ticket to a third country.
Your passport will be stamped with an arrivals stamp, and all arrivals cards will be collected.

Please note that you are not required to fill in an arrivals card if you have already registered your information on the immigration web page. (As of July 1, 2015)

Customs

Customs declaration forms should only be filled in if necessary. Please declare goods, currency, and separately shipped goods, and present your form to a customs officer. Applicable only to passengers aged over 20.

Pets

Prior reservation is necessary if you wish to bring your pet, as the transportation environment within the aircraft needs to be prepared.

Please also be sure to check with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Japan or quarantine station at your destination for animal quarantine information such as import restrictions and required documentation.

At the 1st floor boarding area, there are check-in counters, toilets, currency exchange offices, airport information counters and stairs/escalators to the 2nd floor
At the 2nd floor security area, there are security, immigration control, toilets, Airline VIP Lounges and stairs/escalators from the 1st floor.

Departure regulations

Check-in

Check-in opening time : 2hours 30minutes before departure time

・ JL096 : Number 2 Counter

・ JL098 : Number 6 Counter

Japan Airlines flights depart from Terminal 1. Please present your passport and ticket at the counter displaying your flight in order to receive your boarding pass.
After checking in, please take the escalator to level 2.

 

  • IMPORTANT
    • The check-in area gets very busy and it can take a long time to check in, so please come to the airport in plenty of time.

Carry-on baggage Security check

Baggage will be X-rayed.

Immigration

The entrance to Immigration is in the middle of the departures lobby on level 2. Please show your passport and boarding pass. Your passport will be stamped with a departures stamp. After Immigration, please check the gate information board and proceed to your gate.
