Requests to customers booking JAL Group flights - Domestic Flights
To enable other customers to use our seats effectively, we would appreciate your understanding and cooperation on the followings when making reservations.
Unused Reservations
Please do not make reservations that are not intended for actual boarding.
JAL Group reserves the right to cancel a customer‘s reservation, wholly or partially in case a reservation is suspected to be unusual, and cannot be possibly ticketed/used, or in the following situations.
Duplicate reservations
Japan Airlines may cancel any of bookings if customers have several bookings which cannot be actually used in terms of the itinerary*.

Fictional or fabricated passenger name
Please book under the name of the person who will actually board the flight. Reservation under a fictional or fabricated name will not be accepted.
Reservation change or cancellation in advance
Any changes or cancellations should be completed 20 minutes prior to the flight's scheduled departure time.
If you do not board your reserved flight without making change or cancellation in advance, we reserve the right to cancel any onward reservations in your itinerary.
Changing part of a booking
If you add, change, or cancel flights within a sector, you will need to check seat availability again and rebook under a new sector covering the origin to the destination. (If a flight in the new sector has no more seats available, you will not be able to make changes using your original booking even if the flight is the same as before the change.)

Things to pay attention to when making reservation
Seat availability
Seat availability depends on the combination of flights and combination of origins and destinations in your sector.
Please be sure to enter the origin and final destination of your sector when checking seat availability.
Required connection time
We are unable to accept bookings that do not meet the required connection times set by individual airlines.
Passenger's name
Passenger name cannot be changed after the reservation is made. It is also forbidden to transfer tickets. Furthermore, if ticket cancellation is required due to name change, revelant cancellation or refund fees will be collected.
Passenger's contacts
Please provide phone numbers where you can be contacted during the day.
Registration of email addresses is necessary when making reservations on JAL website.
Email addresses may be registered or modified from "Manage booking" page on JAL website.
JAL may inform you to registered contacts by phone, e-mail or SMS regarding the details of bookings or flight status.
Ticket purchase deadline
Please purchase a ticket by the deadline specified during flight reservation.
Waitlisting
Please waitlist the flights that you need only.
