Eligibility

This service is for senior citizen passengers.

  • The service is also available to senior citizens under age 65.

Key points

Point.1 Booking

You may select seats at the time of reservation/purchase on the JAL website or by telephone.

  • Aircraft types are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Passengers cannot sit in exit rows for safety reasons.

Senior Citizen Fare

This fare is available to customers age 65 and older* and can be booked from the day of departure.

  • A JALCARD or JAL Mileage Bank Card (JMB Card) with customer information registered is required for ticket purchase and boarding.

Point.2 Special Assistance Counter

JAL can assist with a variety of needs, including providing wheelchairs and guidance to departure gates.
Please stop by the Special Assistance Counter at the departure airport.

  • Please arrive at the counter as early as possible, as airport congestion may affect processing time.

Point.3 Wheelchair rental service

Wheelchairs are available for use inside the airport.
In addition to regular wheelchairs, reclining wheelchairs and wide type wheelchairs are available. (Limited number of wheelchairs are available.)

Requests via the JAL website

Domestic Flight Tickets are available until 5:00 p.m. the day prior to the departure date.
Domestic Award Tickets are available until 48 hours prior to the flight departure time.

If you are unable to request via the JAL website or would like to rental an on-board wheelchair, please contact Special Assistance Desk.

About bringing customer's walking aids (silver car, etc.)

Customer's walking aids that exceed the carry-on baggage size will not be allowed in the cabin. Customer's walking aids can be checked in at the counter during boarding procedures.

Point.4 Pre-boarding service

  • During boarding, you will have priority to get on board. Please inform our staff at the boarding gate.
    Those accompanying senior passengers to the airport may stay with them up until the departure gate.
  • For security reasons, only one person may accompany each passenger to the gate.
  • Those accompanying senior passengers must also pass through the security checkpoint.

Point.5 Escort to arrival lobby

Upon arrival, JAL staff member will escort you to the arrival lobby.
If you are picking up passenger(s), please wait at the sign in the photo on the left.
