| VISA | Japanese nationals can stay for tourism or business purposes without a visa for up to 30 days. |
| Passport | Must be valid for at least 6 months with two unused pages. |

Customs
You may bring up to 400 cigarettes.
The following items are prohibited from being brought in:
- Pork and pork products
- Alcoholic beverages (including cooking wine like mirin)
- Firearms
- Pornographic magazines
- Narcotics
There are restrictions on the following items:
- Cash, securities, or precious metals exceeding 50,000 QAR
- Personal or gift items worth more than 3,000 QAR (approximately USD 825)
Use the green channel if you have nothing to declare, or the red channel to declare items that are restricted or prohibited.
Pets
To bring a pet on a flight, a reservation is required to prepare the aircraft's transport environment. Contact "JAL International Reservations and Inquiries" in advance.
Also, check with the destination's embassy or quarantine station for animal quarantine requirements.

Boarding procedures begin 3 hours before departure. The check-in counter will be determined 6 hours before departure and can be confirmed on the information board near the check-in area.
Please proceed to the JAL check-in counter to complete your boarding procedures.
Note that for JAL Group flights at Doha Hamad International Airport, each checked baggage item must not exceed 32 kg (70 lbs).

Proceed to the departure inspection after passing through the security checkpoint located before the exit inspection area.
Customs
Declare if carrying over 50,000 QAR or equivalent in cash/securities/precious metals when departing.
Security check
Passengers departing from Doha Airport may pass through security checkpoints 6 hours prior to departure.
Carry-on baggage will be inspected by an X-ray machine. There is no priority lane at the security checkpoint.
*Mobile boarding passes displayed from the JAL app or email are available, but home-printed boarding passes, Wallet (Passbook), and Google Wallet are currently not available.
