Passengers transferring to oneworld member airlines

The following oneworld member airlines are available at Helsinki Airport.

Layout

Passengers in transit after arrival on JL047 should check the monitors (information boards) displaying information on flight departures to find the departure gate for their connecting flight. There will be staff members on standby after disembarkation, so please do not hesitate to ask if anything is unclear.

  • If you are transferring within Finland or to other Schengen Zone countries:

After the Security check and Passport Control (Immigration), proceed to your departure gate.

  • Passengers with an IC passport who do not require a visa may use the automated lane.
  • There are times when it is not available.
  • Passengers traveling with infants and passengers using wheelchairs should use the manned window.
  • If you are transferring to a non-Schengen Zone country, proceed to your departure gate after the Security check (immigration procedures will take place in your destination country).

Boarding pass

Your connecting boarding pass will usually be issued at your departure airport in Japan. If you do not have your connecting boarding pass, please check in at your airline's transfer counter (Transfer Service), or at the departure gate.

Checked baggage (Re-check)

Please collect your checked baggage at the "final destination" recorded on the baggage claim tag that was issued upon departure. If you did not check your baggage through to your final destination, you will need to pass through Immigration at Helsinki Vantaa Airport, collect your baggage from the baggage claim area, and then re-check your baggage at the check-in counter for your connecting airline. Note: If you are transferring within Finland and you need to make a customs declaration, please do so at your first arrival point into Finland (Helsinki Vantaa Airport).

Passengers transferring from oneworld member airlines to Japan Airlines

Layout

Passengers transferring directly to JL048 after arrival at Helsinki Vantaa Airport should check the monitors (information boards) displaying information on flight departures to find the departure gate for their connecting flight. If anything is unclear, please ask at the transfers counter (Transfer Service).

  • If you are transferring from Finland or another Schengen Zone country, you will need to go through Immigration. For more information about Immigration, please check below.
  • Japanese IC passport holders can use the automated departures gate.
  • There are times when it is not available.
  • Passengers traveling with infants and passengers using wheelchairs should use the manned window.
  • If you are traveling from a non-Schengen Zone country, you will need to undergo a Security check.

Check-in

Boarding passes for JL048 are usually issued when checking in with oneworld member airlines. If you do not have your boarding pass, please check in at the transfer counter (Transfer Service), or at the departure gate for JL048.

Checked baggage

If you are transferring from a oneworld member airline flight and you checked your baggage through to your final destination on departure, you do not need to collect it and re-check it at Helsinki Vantaa Airport.
