Starting with flights on July 1, 2023, we have expanded the FLY ON Program Mile-Up bonus to Malaysia Airlines' flights between Japan and Malaysia. The accumulation rate varies by FLY ON membership status level.
Japan Airlines and Malaysia Airlines have entered into a Joint Business partnership in July 2020.
Through this Joint Business, JL and MH will take on new challenges to further enhance convenience between Japan and Malaysia and allow customers to benefit from more flight choices.
Network
Combined, Japan Airlines and Malaysia Airlines offers direct flights to Kuala Lumpur from Narita International Airport and Kansai International Airport, and to Kota Kinabalu from Narita International Airport. Customers can enjoy seamless connectivity to Japan’s domestic cities and international destinations beyond such as North America through Japan Airlines’ flights from Tokyo. In addition, Malaysia Airlines offers a wide range of flights to Malaysia’s domestic locations.
Mileage Programs
Passengers can accumulate and redeem miles in both JAL and Malaysia Airlines programs. JMB members can earn miles on Malaysia Airlines flight and exchange them for Malaysia Airlines award travel tickets.
Additionally, JMB Diamond members, JGC Premium members, and other FLY ON members can also earn FLY ON Program Mile-Up Bonus based on your service status on Malaysia Airlines' flights between Japan and Malaysia.
