JAL has brought onboard OKOSHI Motohiro, who has made his mark far and wide as a wine taster and wine director. Under his advisement, JAL have carefully selected wines that we invite you to pair with your meal and enjoy.

Some selections were awarded Gold, Silver medals from the world knowned wine competition, International Wine Challenge.

Lelarge-Pugeotis a Champagne

Lelarge-Pugeotis a Champagne producer certified Biodynamic Agriculture by Demeter, adamantly adhering to natural farming practices. This Champagne undergoes an extensive 36-month maturation period in the bottle, resulting in delicate and creamy bubbles that give a lasting impression. Tradition Extra-Brut presents nuances of citrus and peach, with toasty aromas. Delight in the brisk notes of minerality along with almond flavors that create complexity and fresh acidity.

Lumiére Koshu Sur Lie 2022 (Koshu)

Lumiére's Koshu Sur Lie is made using the indigenous Japanese grape variety Koshu grown in Yamanashi Prefecture, aged together with the lees. Produced in stone fermenters with over 100 years of history, this wine offers aromas of citrus with a hint of toasted biscuits. Treat your palate to this wine's gentle Umami and simultaneously, its fresh and pleasantly bitter afternote.

STEPP Pinot Noir *8* 2022 (Pinot Noir)

Gerd Stepp is a winemaker with a globally recognized reputation producing wines in Germany's Pfalz region. Aromas of black cherry and clove, and the translucent, lustrous bouquet are this wine's trademarks. Delight in the fine tannins and fresh acidity as the captivating fruitiness envelops your palate.

We are proud to serve you onboard our Japanese sake selection, including seasonal sake such as "HAKURAKUSEI" and "ZAKU", as well as popular shochu (distilled liquor) choices such as NakaNaka, and Tsurusora.

KUDOKIJOZU Junmai Daiginjo (Yamagata) Alc 15%

Served exclusively on JAL international routes. This venerable sake brewery is fastidious about 100% Ginjo fermentation, in line with their enduring commitment to “consistently pursue crafting delicious Sake.”Kudoki-jozu ("skilledatflirting") is created using “YamadaNishiki” rice grown in Hyogo Prefecture and features the Ginjo’s quintessential fruity aroma along with juicy notes that express an elegant sweetness. Kanpai!

Kamokinshu Junmai Daiginjo JAL Original (Hiroshima) Alc 14%

Thanks to the expansive afternote derived from the nature of the water used in the brewing process and the Koji preparation method that draws out the quintessential features of the rice, this Junmai Daiginjo boasts a resolute Umami atypical foritslow alcohol content. Savorthis JAL original’sjuicy flavor, harmony between sweetness, acidity and bitterness, plus a tender aroma inherent to Ginjo-shu. You can also sense a freshness caused by the faintly bubbling residual carbon dioxide leftover after the fermentation.

This is a non-alcoholic wine-tasting beverage made from 100% French Chardonnay which has been served at Nobel Prize award ceremonies in the past. In addition to the organic production method, it has also acquired various certifications such as JAS, Vegan, and Halal, allowing a variety of customers to enjoy its authentic sparkling wine-like taste.
