The company code will be sent by email within 1 week after your registration. How does J-SMILES work?
General Conditions
1.1
Open to all companies based in Malaysia, except companies having other corporate agreement with JAL or companies in the travel industry.
1.2
Prior enrollment required to generate exclusive company code in order to track air ticket expenditure. One company will only be given one company code.
1.3
No enrollment fee is required for J-SMILES.
1.4
The exclusive company code will be assigned within 1 week after receiving application form. Once the company receives its company code from JAL, J-SMILES registration is complete.
1.5
If the company is found to be ineligible for J-SMILES, JAL reserves the sole rights to terminate J-SMILES enrollment and withdraw all benefits accrued by giving written notice.
1.6
The company shall appoint one "Person in charge" for J-SMILES (hereinafter known as "Company PIC"). Company PIC shall undertake to adhere to the terms & conditions of J-SMILES and must report to JAL if there is any changes to the company data. All correspondence will be limited to the Company PIC. No other person will be entertained.
1.7
The company shall appoint travel agent (1 agent for 1 company) holding IATA membership and JAL appointment to handle reservation and ticketing for J-SMILES. (hereinafter referred to as "Appointed Agent"). Non-appointed agent is not permitted to issue tickets using the company code.
1.8
J-SMILES will not affect the JAL Mileage Bank(JMB) program. Mileage accrual & redemption will be as per normal JMB regulation.
1.9
JAL may send information (e.g. new promotion) to Company PIC from time to time.
Accumulation
2.1
The exclusive company code must be input into the tourcode box of ticket to enable tracking. Company PIC shall ensure that appointed agent input company code into all eligible tickets. If company code is not indicated in the tourcode box of ticket, JAL would not be able to track usage.
2.2
Tickets eligible for tracking net flown expenditure
- issued by appointed agent(IATA,JAL and company) in Malaysia.
- Ticket number must start with "131" (JAL ticket)
- on international travel on JL flights
- use IATA or Carrier Fare (exclude promotion fares)
2.3
Net flown expenditure will be tracked on flown or onboard basis (exclude taxes, surcharges, commission, other airlines' portion)
2.4
The data for net flown expenditure is computer generated and confidential.
It cannot be released nor disputed under any circumstances.
2.5
The tracking period is 6-monthly (APR - SEP & OCT - MAR). Net flown expenditure from one tracking period cannot be carried forward to another tracking period.
2.6
A results update will be emailed by end JUL and end JAN to the Company PIC. Final results & benefits will be sent to the Company PIC within 3 months after the end of each term (by DEC & JUN)
Redemption
3.1
The minimum net flown expenditure required is MYR 30,000 during one tracking period.
3.2
Benefits must be redeemed by the Company PIC. The Company PIC shall be responsible for usage of all benefits within the company.
3.3
Validity of benefits are until the end of the following year's tracking period (example, APR ? SEP tracking period's benefits will be valid until 30SEP the following year)
3.4
Selling, bartering, or exchanging of benefits are not permitted.
3.5
JAL shall not be held liable or responsible for the loss or theft of issued benefits. In no event shall JAL have any obligation to replace any lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed benefits.
3.6
J-SMILES benefits cannot be combined with JACTIM JAL Club or other corporate agreement benefits.
Change
4.1
J-SMILES terms and conditions are subject to change, with or without prior notice.
Notice of termination
5.1
JAL will notify the company at least 6 months prior to the termination of J-SMILES.
Usage of company and personal Information
6.1
JAL recognizes the importance of the company and also personal information submitted by the company in the J-SMILES program and will treat it with the utmost care, and safeguard it strictly.
Laws and regulations
7.1
The terms and conditions of this J-SMILES program shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of Malaysia.
7.2
Any provisions which may be contrary to the laws and regulations of Malaysia shall be declared null and void or corrected if necessary, without affecting the remaining provisions.
