Taking the ferry from Fukuoka Tower to this destination is the fastest and most convenient way to reach it. Therefore, it's a good idea to combine your visit to both these destinations in order to make use of the municipal ferry. How to get there:
 Take the JR Kagoshima Line from Hakata Station to Kashii Station and then transfer to the JR Kashii Line which will take you to Uminonakamichi Station. The station is just outside the entrance to the park and the journey takes about 30 minutes. 

Alternatively, take the municipal ferry from Fukuoka Tower at Bayside Place to Saitozaki Tosenjo (ferry terminal) and then an 8-minute walk to the park.
