PINK RIBBON Charity Mile

We will call for Charity Mile in units of 3,000 miles to JAL Mileage Bank members from October 15, 2013 (Tue) 10:00 (Japan Time) - November 30, 2013 (Sat).

The JAL Group has participated in the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign since 2004. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers diagnosed in women, but it is also known that when diagnosed and treated at an early stage, the possibility of being cured increases. Monthly self-examination and annual examination by a physician is recommended.
October which is set to be the "Breast Cancer Awareness Month", the JAL Group has supported the Pink Ribbon activities every year through operating the "Pink Scarf Flight" where all the cabin attendants on this flight wear pink scarfs to focus attention on breast health, and through special inflight sales of Pink Ribbon collaborated items on JAL Group domestic routes, donating part of the profit made to "Breast Cancer Network Japan - Akebono Kai". On October 17, 2013, the "Pink Scarf Flight" was operated on JL309 (departing from Haneda to Fukuoka). A Self-examination pamphlet was given to the passengers onboard to focus awareness to the importance and necessity of early detection and rapid cure for breast cancer.
We ask for support through Charity Mile, to JMB members who agree to the intent of the Pink Ribbon Campaign to support spreading breast cancer awareness and Breast Cancer research.
