August 2014 Rain Relief Effort Miles

The JAL Group extends its deep condolences to the people affected by the localized torrential rain in August 2014 which has led to landslides in Hiroshima City (Hiroshima Prefecture) and caused major damage in Fukuchiyama City (Kyoto Prefecture), Tamba City (Hyogo Prefecture), and other areas in western Japan.

To assist the effort for quick recovery, the JAL Group has decided to offer support and assistance through donation. We also ask for cooperation from JMB members to support the people affected by these downpours through Charity Miles.

Charity Mile acceptance

  • Application period
    5:00 p.m. (Japan time), August 29, 2014 (Fri.) - 11:59 p.m. (Japan time), October 20, 2014 (Mon.)
  • Mileage for application
    Donation will be accepted in units of 3,000 miles on JAL's website.
    Counting one mile as one Japanese yen, JAL Group will donate the equivalent amount in cash to Central Community Chest of Japan.
