In association with the launch of the JAL Life Status Program (our new lifetime activity program), JGC Life Mileage has been discontinued.
Existing members can continue to enjoy JAL Global Club services and benefits under the JAL Life Status Program.
New services and benefits that are offered based on your Life Status Points will be available starting from around spring 2024.
Please note that the following benefits offered under JGC Life Mileage will be discontinued in line with the transition to the JAL Life Status Program.
Benefits that have been discontinued:
Baggage tag for traveling 150,000 international sector miles or 300 domestic flights
Baggage tag for traveling 250,000 international sector miles or 500 domestic flights
Baggage tag for traveling 500,000 international sector miles or 750 domestic flights
Baggage tag for traveling 750,000 international sector miles or 1,000 domestic flights
JGC Five Star Gift
The program is based on all flight activity *1 recorded with fares eligible for earning miles since enrolling with JAL Mileage Bank (JMB). JGC members who reach certain milestones in lifetime flight activity will also receive special baggage tags as a gift to mark each significant achievement.
Additionally, JGC members who have flown 1 million miles *2 will receive JGC Five Star status with corresponding benefits and services.

- Please note that members who withdraw from JGC will be ineligible to receive these services.
- Flight activity as of April 30 of each year, based on the number of international sector miles flown or number of domestic flights traveled with fares eligible for earning miles since enrolling with JMB.
- JGC members who have either flown 1 million international sector miles or 1,250 domestic flights as of April 30 of each respective year.
Achieving milestones in lifetime flight activity
What is lifetime flight activity?
Lifetime flight activity refers to the total number of JAL international sector miles you have flown or the total number of JAL Group domestic flights you have traveled with fares eligible for earning miles since enrolling in JMB. JGC members who achieve the milestones for JAL international flights or JAL Group domestic flights will be eligible to receive JGC Life Mileage benefits and services.
- Lifetime flight activity is based on flight activity recorded from April 1980.
- Total number of JAL international sector miles flown is calculated by adding together all sector miles traveled, without applying any mileage accumulation rate.
- International and domestic flight activity cannot be combined to calculate total sector miles or total number of flights traveled.
- Customers who achieve the milestones for both JAL international flights and JAL Group domestic flights in the same year will receive the gift for the higher milestone achieved. Additionally, customers who achieve the equivalent milestone for JAL international or JAL Group domestic flights in a different year will receive the relevant gift once only.
Delivery schedule
Gifts, services, benefits, and the associated information will be sent around autumn to qualifying customers, based on milestones achieved as of April 30 of each respective year.
Example: If you have flown a total of 150,000 international sector miles as of June 2020, your baggage tag will be sent to you around autumn 2021.

Materials: Leather tag, copper chrome-coated plate, wire ring
- Your baggage tag is not personalized with your name. You may write your own name on the tag if you wish.
You can also choose to redeem 2,000 miles for a purpose-made tag cover unit and belt strap that is designed to fit your baggage tag and includes a personalized name plate. For more details, please refer to the information that is enclosed with your baggage tag.
250,000 international sector miles or 500 domestic flights
Gift: Green baggage tag
Materials: Leather tag and belt, copper chrome-coated plate

JGC members who have flown either 1 million international sector miles or 1,250 domestic flights will receive information about JGC Five Star as the highest level of recognition.

- The JGC Five Star Gift is offered to customers who newly achieve the 1 million international sector miles or 1,250 domestic flights milestone and customers who newly achieve the 1.5 million international sector miles or 1,750 domestic flights milestone.
2 million international sector miles or 2,250 domestic flights
When you achieve the highest milestone - 2 million international sector miles or 2,250 domestic flights traveled - you will receive complimentary access to our JAL First Class Lounges whenever you travel on JAL international flights and our Diamond Premium Lounges whenever you travel on JAL Group domestic flights. This lounge access benefit is offered to you for as long as you maintain your JAL Global Club membership.
