Earn and use miles at THE RYOKAN COLLECTION

Established in 2004, THE RYOKAN COLLECTION is the world’s first global consortium of luxury ryokan and small luxury Japanese hotels. Our 46 members have been strictly vetted and determined to be representatives of Japan. With a mission to continue and further develop ryokan culture in the local regions of our member ryokan, THE RYOKAN COLLECTION strives to develop a more significant presence in the global luxury travel market by introducing to the world the incredible culture and the beautiful art of Japanese hospitality, omotenashi.

Eligible members

JMB members living outside Japan who are also LRC members.

Eligible reservations

Reservations made via THE RYOKAN COLLECTION.

Miles earned

1 mile per JPY 100 spent on the stay amount of a qualifying stay.

If coupons are used, miles will be credited for the actual amount spent (excluding the coupon amount).

How to earn miles

Miles are earned by entering the JMB membership number of the main reservation holder when making the reservation.
JMB membership numbers cannot be amended and miles cannot be requested retroactively after a reservation has been made. Please take care when entering your JMB membership number.

Book your stay

Miles crediting date

Miles will be credited to the JMB account of the main reservation holder around two to three months after check-out.

If two or more JMB members share a room, only the main reservation holder will earn miles.

Redeem your miles for an online coupon that can be used on THE RYOKAN COLLECTION website.

Coupons can only be used for booked Stay package.
Coupons cannot be used to pay for additional expenses that arise during your stay (such as beverage expenses and beauty treatment expenses).

Award validity

Reservations must be made by the last day of the 12th month following the month in which your miles were redeemed for this award.

Coupons cannot be used if a reservation is not made within the validity period.

Reservations can be made after redeeming miles for this award if the reservation is within the validity period.
Rooms are subject to availability, regardless of the award validity period. We recommend that you check room availability and make your reservation before requesting this award.

How to request and receive this award

Before redeeming your miles for this award, please select a ryokan, check room availability, and make your reservation via THE RYOKAN COLLECTION.

Coupon codes will be sent around three weeks after your miles are redeemed.

Please note that coupons cannot be used for a reservation with a stay date within three weeks after redeeming your miles.

Only issued coupon codes can be applied toward stay amounts.

STEP2 Request this award

Once the confirmation letter is issued by THE RYOKAN COLLECTION, redeem your JMB miles for THE RYOKAN COLLECTION Award.

Multiple coupons can be used for one stay.

Partial refunds will not be issued. Please request only the coupon amount required for your stay.

STEP3 Coupon code will be sent

Your coupon code will be sent to you by email around three weeks after requesting this award.

STEP4 Request that your coupon be used for payment

Please inform THE RYOKAN COLLECTION that you wish to apply your coupon code toward your payment amount.

If you have not yet made your reservation, please mention your coupon code (sent to you in Step 3) when making your reservation.

STEP5 Stay

THE RYOKAN COLLECTION will send you a revised confirmation of the amount due to the ryokan (which is the amount as of the time of the reservation minus the coupon amount).

Please pay this amount to the ryokan during your stay.

Notes

Please be sure to use your coupon code during the validity period.
Expired coupon codes will not be accepted.
Coupons can be used for partial payment of the stay amount.
No change will be issued if the value of the coupon exceeds the stay amount.
Once redeemed, miles cannot be refunded to the original JMB account, used in exchange for another award, or exchanged for cash.
Even if a coupon is not used during the validity period, the miles redeemed for this award cannot be refunded to the original JMB account, used in exchange for another award, or exchanged for cash.
Miles cannot be refunded if a reservation is cancelled after confirmation.
Please inquire with THE RYOKAN COLLECTION regarding coupon code handling for cancelled reservations.
